 À½¹Ý¼Ò°³Introduction of "WINGS" by Eddy-

After a break of more than two years, we are finally ready to publish our new work, a double album whose first part entitled "WINGS" is going to be published by the label Scarlet in the next May. We are really proud of having joined this record company, especially because we were looking for someone who believed in our music and this search wasn't easy at all. They really seem to be the right people to support our new record which, even if it is still connected with the power/speed metal that has always characterized our style, shows a real variety of influences, from our past, such as "Dragon's Secrets", to the hard rock and the metal classic. But the most important thing is that our songwriting has been spontaneous: avoiding commercial choices we have only listened to our heart and let the music talk. I've got this feeling from the first melodies I wrote and this has made me get back to the euphoria of my beginning.... I strongly hope that our fans will appreciate the new songs and keep on supporting our band as always.

Brief introduction of each song by Eddy

1. Rainbow in the Dark
This is a long song, something less than 10 minutes, and is probably the one I love more. Probably, I had never written something more introspective before. I should say that most of the lyrics of this double work are rather personal and taken directly out of my heart but I must also underline how this one really expresses myself from deep inside, more than ever. It starts with a long piano-instrumental intro, then the voice comes out and one by one all the instruments join it to explode in a classic power/speed track. I'll never forget the day I wrote it and I have to thank Brodo for having got the sense of this song writing a perfect bass part, and Fabio as he has been able to perform in such a flexible way I'd never have imagined he could have done.

2. Summer of 2001
A classic anthem song, which reminds me old stuff like "Twilight", "Welcome" or "The Answer" but a bit less fast. I really like the orchestra part and the bass line is quite amazing. I think this one might be interesting to be played live but it will be a challenge to reproduce all the vocals part. My lyrics are still personal, something like a memory, shining or dull as you prefer.

3. Another Reason to Believe
I, we have never tried something so hard rock oriented before... I'm sure somebody will be shocked by this track, obviously I hope in a positive sense....just reading the title I might say that this song is really.... another way to show music and feelings.

4. Belzebu 2
This is the song which starts a part of the album connected with our classic concept of White Warrior, Princess of the Snow and
Belzebu...it's not a real following but you can consider this three songs like flashbacks. The main riff is quite close to the one of Belzebu but totally played in a major tune. There are at least four different situations, a large variety of mood that gives a little suspance to the listeners.

5. Faded Fantasy
You have to consider this song as a long acoustic outro for "Belzebu part 2". There's not so much to say about it, just listening and following your faded fantasy.

6. Last Ride
The third and last moment connected to the old concept. Pure Skylark style both in the lyrics and in the music. In my mind I can quickly come back to "DRAGON'S SECRETS" and to my solo record "WHEN WATER BECAME ICE" but I'm rather sure that everyone can get his own different emotion and idea.

7. A Stupid Song
If I had written a song like this some years ago, I'm sure Brodo would have payed a killer to erase me because of the long first part, only piano and voic,e but especially for the lyrics, a sweet love song, sugary as a ballad of Scorpions, Winger or Bon Jovi and conceived on the contrast of pleasure and pain. To tell the truth, I wasn't sure at all on how the band could have accepted this "trial" but finally they liked it; Brodo wrote one of his best bass arrangements and Carlos seems to appreciate a lot the final section probably because it makes you travel straight to the eighties to rediscover the best period of Iron Maiden.

8. When Love and Hate Collide
An orchestral version of a Def Leppard classic. This is the last song we recorded and the idea came up just some days before leaving to New York to do the mastering. There is a long piano intro written by me and then the real piece starts interpreted by our new female voice Kiara who had just joined the line-up. Sweet but a bit aggressive at the same time, it has become one of my favourite shots of the album.

-Kiara's Profile (self-introduction)-
Singing and writing have always played a dominant role in my life and music has always guided me through the good and bad times. It was with
heavy metal in particular that I finally found the sort of inspiration I needed. I started listening to Iron Maiden (still my favourite),
Metallica, Manowar and then I decided to take a journey and discover something more: new ways of singing, new ways of performing and feeling
music with every breath I take.
It was a trip starting through Black Sabbath, Kiss, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Van Halen, Def Leppard, and Scorpions. Every singer was for me a
source of inspiration, which together with my classical influences slowly built my way of singing. Of course, if I should say which one inspired me the most I dare say Bruce Dickinson for both singing and performing. Jon Bon Jovi, M. Kiske, K. Hansen, T. Kotipelto, E. Adams, Skin, Anneke from The Gathering and Tarja from Nightwish did "the rest of the job".
My journey is not over and it will never be over since I'm always trying to find new ways of expression, of improving. I love challenges and when
I was asked to record a track for "WINGS" I said: "This is a trial ? let's do it!". It was also quite an honour and I put myself through this
journey with my heart and soul and gave voice to the inner feelings of that moment, sweetness and anger, it was like talking to an old picture
come up from a nowhere place. I always try to put together the feelings of everyday life: joy, sorrow, rage are my first source of inspiration
modelled by an heart beating together with music. I'm really proud of the shots I recorded and of singing with Skylark!
